SUMMARY:Soundwalk - Music in four historical fountains
DESCRIPTION:Sound Walk at the Südwestkirchhof Stahnsdorf \n\n\n\nSüdwestkirchhof Stahnsdorf – Bahnhofstraße 2\, 14532 Stahnsdorf \n\n\n\nWe will walk to four historic fountain sites on this impressive cemetery not far from the stave church. All those interested are invited to stroll along beautiful paths\, through groves\, and past special grave monuments\, pausing at four of the cemetery’s enchanted fountains to listen\, linger\, return\, or move on. In this way\, the fountains become what they once were: places of encounter. \n\n\n\nAt each fountain\, captivating mini-concerts will take place at four different times\, featuring mainly contemporary music performed by duos\, each lasting around 15 to 20 minutes. To conclude\, the Kairos Quartett will perform Lichtung (2011/12) by Carola Bauckholt. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us as the duos and the quartet present their favorite pieces and bring the surroundings to life with sound. In a relaxed atmosphere\, we’ll engage in conversation with members of the ausKlang association and the Südwestkirchhof support association\, with the musicians and their companions\, and with each other. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdmission free\, donations welcome – • – Contact: info@ausklang.org

SUMMARY:51% – Fantastic Music by Women Composers
DESCRIPTION:The Kairos Quartet presents the fifth installment of their ongoing Work in Progress series\, 51% – Amazing Music by Women\, this time supported by sound designer Andre Bartetzki. \n\n\n\nJohanniskircheLudwig-Sandberg-Straße 516225 Eberswalde \n\n\n\nPROGRAMBára Gísladóttir [1989\, Iceland] Otoconia [String Quartet with Electronics\, 2017]  \n\n\n\nYounghi Pagh-Paan [1945\, Korea/Germany] Horizont auf hoher See / Horizon on the High Seas [2016]  \n\n\n\nCarola Bauckholt [1959\, Germany] Lichtung [2011]  \n\n\n\nSarah Nemtsov [1980\, Germany] Weggeschliffen [String Quartet with Amplification and Effects\, 2018]  \n\n\n\nFor this fifth edition of their Work in Progress\, the Kairos Quartet curates an impressive selection of compositions by women composers. The works explore themes of physicality and tension\, often expanding the ensemble with electronic elements and preparations.  \n\n\n\nExperience the naturalistic soundscape of Bauckholt’s Lichtung\, filled with bird and insect sounds; embark on a surprising journey into the inner ear with Gísladóttir’s Otoconia; enjoy the distorted sounds and reverberant spaces in Nemtsov’s Weggeschliffen\, enhanced with electronics and preparations; and feel the vastness of Horizon on the High Seas by Pagh-Paan\, who celebrates her 80th birthday this year.  \n\n\n\nThe Kairos Quartet navigates these sonic worlds—where sound is felt as much as heard—constantly in motion\, teetering on the edge of tension and resolution. Their performance is characterized by a delicate sensitivity to texture\, dynamic contrast\, and spatial perception.  \n\n\n\nDue to the illness of our dear colleague Alexa Renger\, Fiona Milla Jäntti will perform the violin part!  \n\n\n\nThis event is supported by the MWFK Brandenburg and the Musikfonds.  \n\n\n\nAdmission is free.Reservations via email to info@ausklang.org \n\n\n\nFollow us:FacebookVenue websiteInstagram \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n🎻 Kairos Quartet: \n\n\n\n\nRui C. Antunes and Fiona Milla Jäntti (guest): Violins (alternating) \n\n\n\nSimone Heilgendorff: Viola \n\n\n\nClaudius von Wrochem: Cello\n\n\n\n\nAndre Bartetzki: Sound design and lighting  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Kairos Quartet:Since its founding in 1996\, the Kairos Quartet has dedicated itself to performing groundbreaking compositions from the late 20th and 21st centuries\, often curating their own projects. Over 25 years\, they have performed worldwide\, premiered numerous works\, participated in festivals\, and produced various recordings. From 2022 to June 2023\, they brought the nationwide series LUFT | WURZELN to the stage. More information at www.kairosquartett.de.  \n\n\n\nWe thank the Verein für den ausgefallenen Klang and the Johanniskirche for their continued collaboration!

SUMMARY:Sound Walk Vermessene Zeit
DESCRIPTION:As part of Klanglandschaften 2025\, the Kairos Quartet\, together with the Śabdagatitāra Ensemble\, presents Sandeep Bhagwati’s conceptual piece Vermessene Zeit (Measured Time). \n\n\n\nMusic gives time a measure – we gauge in it the seemingly eternal flow. Landscapes are also measured to better understand their proportions and shapes. In Bhagwati’s musical journey Vermessene Zeit\, both are experienced: As sonorous land surveyors\, the musicians of the Śabdagatitāra Ensemble and the Kairos Quartet venture onto a forest meadow in Hobrechtsfelde. Always\, only three of them perform within a wide triangle\, whose center is naturally the best place for listening. At some point\, one corner of the trio falls silent – but then\, a different instrument or voice farther away begins\, reuniting the music into a new triangle. However\, its center has shifted – to continue listening to everything\, you must move there! \n\n\n\nIn this way\, the sounds gradually measure the space – and the audience moves along\, listening to how our human harmonies and dissonances blend with the songs of wind\, leaves\, grass\, insects\, and birds. Along the way\, poems can be picked up by the roadside\, celebrating the earth\, trees\, and the sounds of the world – some of which can be given to the musicians for inspiration. Bhagwati’s Komprovisation invites us to spend an afternoon exploring the surroundings of the granary in Hobrechtsfelde as a poetic\, resonant landscape that has been sleeping here since time immemorial. \n\n\n\nTo the venue: KLANGLANDSCHAFTEN
