Delia Ramos Rodríguez is a Spanish violinist with a focus on chamber music, contemporary music, improvisation and interdisciplinary performance. She began learning the violin at the age of five. In 2016, she completed her Bachelor's studies with Joaquín Torre at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Madrid. She continued her studies in Germany and in 2019 completed her Master's degree in violin with Anke Dill and in "New Music" with Melise Mellinger and Nurit Stark at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. The CAS (Certificate for Advanced Studies) followed in 2022. Delia Ramos Rodriguez regularly performs as a soloist in collaboration with the Förderkreis Neue Musik Heilbronn and has been advising the Landesjugendensemble für Neue Musik Baden-Württemberg as a string teacher since 2020. She is also a regular substitute with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, and has performed with Ensemble Modern. In 2020 she founded the “Duo Krasis” together with Alex Waite (piano/keyboards) as part of which they play music by Andreas E. Frank, Denis Dufour, Morton Feldman and Kai Duncan David, among others. She has also collaborated with composers such as Jennifer Walshe, Marco Stroppa, Helmut Lachenmann, Nicolaus A. Huber and Jessie Marino. From 2019 to 2022, Delia Ramos Rodriguez was assistant director of the New Music Studio at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. As of October 2022, she will be a lecturer for string/chamber ensembles at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. She has been playing in the Kairos Quartet since September 2022.
